You may have heard of the new “Ensemble Version” of TITANIC that debuted in London with a sold out run; well this minimalist incarnation of the Tony winning show is proving to be unstoppable! It opened in Toronto on Sunday at the Princess of Wales Theatre and critics are calling it “completely engaging, totally entertaining and deeply moving.” (Richard Ouzounian). The reduced cast and simple set design put the spotlight on the powerful characters of Peter Stone’s book and Maury Yeston’s score, which critics are calling “thrilling, tragic, beautiful and brilliant.” (Alan Henry).
The Ensemble Version is obviously a smash at major professional theatres but it could prove to be even more important for smaller theatres that have found the original version of TITANIC to be beyond their means. The Ensemble Version is already available for general licensing through Tams-Witmark so check out the Show Page to learn more about this incredible new version and to order your own perusal copies or apply for a license.
