Martha Swope, who captured iconic images of Broadway and dance for decades, died Thursday, January 12th, in New York. From 1957 to 1994, Ms. Swope photographed countless shows and theatre legends, from Shakespeare in the Park to George Balanchine in rehearsal. She earned a Tony Honor for Excellence in Theater in 2004 and a lifetime achievement award from the League of Professional Theater Women in 2007.
